Life Wow, where to start... Let's see...for you Soesterberg, Netherlands folks, my Dad was transferred in '72 to Luke AFB which is pretty much where I have resided since then. I finished high School at Maryvale HS in Phoenix. Now for the meaty stuff. I went to the Air Force Academy from '74-76, didn't do well grade wise and was dismissed. I then went off to Arizona State University where I continued my study of Physics. In '78 I was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident which pretty much curtailed my studies...in fact I never finished, was 18 hours short of a degree. I started work in the Military/Defense industry in the Quality field, mostly classified programs. The high point of my career was working as a Senior Quality Engineer on the Space Shuttle and Space Station....also satellite pointing mechanisms, reaction wheels (semi precise gyros), control moment gyros (very precise gyros) and a myriad of other things. I worked at White Electronic Designs for about 1 1/2 years, a production facility that makes microelectronics, really good place to work. Well, the job went defunct as they had the typical "reduction in force" (i.e. LAYOFF). I am now working for Orbital Sciences, a production facility for Space launch vehicles, really very interesting work. this job came after over a year of searching, darn near lost my house but by the grace of God this job came just when it was needed. Normal life stuff... I was married for 20...Expand for more
